_Ronin Yoshino takes place in a fantasy kingdom called the Fujiwara Province which resembles ancient Japan were civil wars and strife over land ownership are common. The story revolves around the adventures of the rebel woman warrior – Akuba, Someiyoshino (aka: Ronin Yoshino). She and her companions fight against the corrupt government in order to bring rights to the commoners...

Ronin Yoshino is my original manga series which is based on extensive research on ancient Japanese culture and mythology. All of the characters are inspired by real people or from folklore. The manga project began in 2005. My photography for the colour backgrounds are shot on various locations throughout Long Island and Upstate New York. All artwork is drawn by hand.
